Shooting a 255 grain lswc the alloy is a 6 & 2. I am loading it with 28 grains of Imr 4227 a little much but anyway my question is what is the minimum load you can drop the 4227 without causing problems, knowing that 4227 is a slow burner. Have a supply of the powder and supply of the lswc any suggestions is helpful

The Hodgdon website has data for the 454 with 4227 powder. It has data for lead bullets. You should be able to get the suggested minimum for a bullet close to what you are using.
