Case life is very long since the 458 SOSOM is a low pressure round. I have some brass with 4-5 firings. Some say they will last 20+ if you don't over stress them.

It wouldn’t take much over pressure to crack the locking lugs on a SOCOM bolt and deformation of the thinner pistol primers are an important sign that pressure limits are being exceeded.

that’s why I like Bear Creek Arsenal, you can get a complete upper for $225 (on sale) with side charging BCG. Cheap enough to enjoy and not worry too much.
