See Poll. Please vote in the poll ONLY if you like (are a fan of) the cartridge, in general.

Dangit, just realized I screwed up my poll:

If you voted the first choice (Don't have either), then tell us:

A. Plan to get both
B. Plan to get pistol only, or
C. Plan to get carbine only
D. Don't plan on getting either, even though it seems like a useful cartridge

Thanks!

Me: 1(B) - Don't have either; plan to get pistol only.

P.S. Yes, it was the guy in the "most useless cartridge" thread voting for this one which spurred this poll thread.

I like the bull pup carbine. But I wouldn't mind having the pistol as well. I have to admit though, they are pretty far down the "must have" list.

IMO, it could be an interesting set of weapons to have just for fun. However, before I get into buying my "just for fun" type firearms, I'm going to need to finish acquiring the end of my "need"-type things.

So, for me, they're on the list, but just like KBintheSLC, they're kinda down on the list.

If I ever got a P90 it would have to be the LE/military version. And that would require a Class III :banghead:

I want the Five-Seven, but I'm not a big fan of the quirky (and in my opinion hideous) P(S)90.

That was my thoughts exactly. I went with the AR-57. I plan on getting the pistol to go with it some day.

The AR mag has been gutted, cut down and now serves as a brass catcher. The EX-30 round mag will hold 50 empty 5.7x28 cases.

And yes it is real!

I want an AR upper in 5.7 X 28. I have a mag. (bought it just in case they get hard to get soon. ;) )

Yep, at least the upper anyway.

I don't have either, but love the idea. If i get a PS90, it would have to be the SBR version, as i hate the long barrel look. If i can't get that, a AR-57 upper is in order. A friend has a Five seveN on order, and i will see if i like that.

I have the FiveseveN pistol and have no interest in the PS90 as a carbine option.

I like the idea of the AR5.7 upper though and it might be on my future buy list.

If I go for a Bullpup design, it would more than likely be the FS2000.

BTW . . . I LOVE MY 5.7. It is my daily carry and it is accompanied by 61 rds of SS195

I'm actually of fan as I think it is a great plinking cartridge. Unfortunately the price of both the carbine and pistol is insane. When someone makes an AR upper at a reasonable price I'll get one.

Brilliant! I've had my eye on one of these uppers. Got a range report for us?

I have the pistol, very accurate, and not one hiccup in over 500 rounds. Light recoil makes fast accurate follow up shots easy. I shoot the SS197, not completly sold on it for self defence, but with 20 rounds in the mag .....maybe

I've only had it out to the range one time but here is the 100 yard target I sighted it in on.

I was using the 40 grain V-Max tipped rounds range conditions were kind of windy so it was hard to make good scope adjustments at 100 yards with the light bullets but I did manage to put quite a few in the bull. I plan on getting dies for it and seeing what I can get out of it with hand loads.

As far as function I did have a couple of FTF rounds where the bullet hit the top of the chamber when loading but the bolt is still pretty tight and I did see improvement as I put more rounds through it.
