I'd love to squeeze a few off at an old car. The barrel does seem a bit short though.

Uh, do the words "Shaped Charge" mean anything to ya?
Yes, though I don't think you can make one that small with alot of power. I'm not an explosives engineer though. To say nothing of what the spin will do to the jet. I can see an APDS round for it that would kick the .50's butt, and it's possible that's what it shoots for AP duties. I'm inclined to say that APDS would provide more penetration than a HEAT round.

Bad Logic...

Sure, the new 25 mm is powerful, but would you want to stand in front of the .50 BMG? I didn't think so.

Sorry, could not resist recreating the oft repeated challenge of those who carry mouse calibers and justify the small caliber size by noting nobody will volunteer to be shot by them. :neener:

There was an article about this beast in Shotgun News. IIRC, it said that the gun is still a prototype as they have not brought down the recoil to a level that is acceptable to the user. Their 50 BMG muzzle brake was highly successful but even that tech didn't do it for this gun. So they are still working on it.

It would be fun to have. I once had the chance to fire a 50 BMG but passed as I had a broken wrist at the time. The recoil made your feet vibrate.

25mm
155mm
8inch

there all just different flavors. what matters more is shot placement

While shot placement is without question a determining factor I would like to note that it is much more critical when using a .22 as opposed to an 8inch. :p

Just ask your self which would you rather have missing you at french kissing distance? :neener:
