Its simple to join: If you own a Colt (1836, 1849, 1851, etc....) firearm real or reproduction, simply post pic of your iron.

Here is my Pietta 1851 Colt alongside my Winchester 1894 30-30.

I'll see your Pietta 1851 Colt and Winchester 1894 .30-30, and raise you a Uberti 1862 Colt Police :D. Can I get in with that hand?

Okay, what the hell. Clubs springing up all over the place here. Here's a picture of one of my Colt (Uberti) 49's. Needed a bluing job when I took the picture. (Long winter on trap line in Alaska). My backup '49 is in the nylon case and put away here, never been shot or loaded, just tuned up. I'll also see if I can post a picture of a couple of my Uberti 1847 Walkers..I think I might can find a picture I have here somewhere with 2 of them together..May I participate gentlemen?....PS. I forgot. I have a new 1st Model to that I bought out of a sense of loyalty to the Walker. I don't ever shoot it, just 1 cylinder full when I first got it. I don't think I have any pictures of it. Plus I have a used (4 months old and fired 28 times when I bought it) in excellent condition 1860 that a man sold to me last year. I'vd never fired it myself. The only 2 reasons I bought it was because he needed the money to buy a new tire for his pickup and he wanted to sell it and also because I know that John Wesley Hardin favored the '60 and I have alway's respected the living hell right out of Wes Hardin..Maybe I'll dig them out and take a couple of pictures. I just checked them last week and they were not due to be checked again for another couple of weeks....

Man, great guns everyone...... I've always liked the look of the Colt, I think it looks more "Wild West" to me than the Remington's./QUOTE]

They are certainly more primitive looking than 1858s. But better pointers and a better feel to trigger IMHO

I have pics of almost all of my Colts on this site already. I will post up a family pic later.

Well, I got the 1st Model and the '60 Army out awhile ago and tried half assed to take a picture but after trying 7 times I gave up for the night. Light is not right. Sometimes I get some good pictures; most of the time I don't. I'vd never shot a '60 before. When I bought it late last year it was the first time I'd ever even had my hands on one. I was holding it awhile ago and spun it and flipped it some. It sure is well balanced. To me not as good as my '58's but I can certainly understand why Hardin had a fondness for it overall. I sat here with my coffee and smoked a couple of cigarettes while I held it in my right hand, just thinking about the gun and the people over the long long forever gone years that are hidden from us forever. Many a man sat by some lonely campfire through the night with an 1860 Army hugged close and right to hand. Done it myself more times than I like to remember but with a Uberti 1847 Walker loaded all the way around..I might try for some pictures again tomorrow or over the next couple of days or so. I'm not too good at this computer and camera stuff. Can just barely find my way to this site and my e-mail....

Carney, I do have a picture or two of my Walker and Belgian Colt. But being the neanderthal that I am, you'll have to look for them on the WALKER Club post. My member number is # 48, listed on page 29. The photos are on page 27, post # 661. Hopefully those will do to qualify me. My daughter "helped" me get those pictures up... actually she did it. I just sat there and banged two rocks together while sitting in front of my cave.
