8D634FAD-DCA1-44DB-94FC-62D29E7AFC13.jpeg I’m continuing to play around with Unique in my N Frame S&Ws, after exploring lighter loads. On a lark I loaded 6.0 grains of Unique under my home cast 158 grain lead RNFP.

Wow!

Nice boom and bump without being disagreeable. The group above the .38/44 is the 6.0 grain load at 10 yards, the cluster just under the revolver is 158 grain bullet over 4.5 grains of Unique. How intriguing!

I came home and loaded some more 6.0 grain charges for my Model 27 and Model 28. Here’s hoping.

Just for the heck of it try the Max .38 Special loading of 5.3 Grains of Unique under that bullet. It’s plenty powerful and fun to shoot and very, very accurate.
