A coworker recently gave me a box of Buffalo Cartridge Company 6.5 Creedmoor 140gr SBT Game King ammunition to try in my AIAW and to say that I'm impressed with the accuracy is an understatement. I can't remember what load I shot last in the AI but with no cleaning and without making any scope adjustment the first shot was dead center at 100 yards! The next 8 shots went into a ragged .3XX moa hole with the last shot opening up the group to just under .650 moa. I probably shoot groups faster than most based on what I've seen over the years. I shot this group in under three minutes and probably close to 2-1/2 minutes and the mirage off the barrel and suppressor was getting worse with each shot which might account for the last shot. I don't have any experience with Sierra Game King bullets either in factory or handload form so don't know if they're typically very accurate, but anyone with a 6.5 Creedmoor looking for a hunting load might want to give this stuff a try. BCC's website lists velocity at 2,571 fps which seems on the slow side but I do plan on shooting a few rounds over a chronograph tonight to see what the actual velocity is from my 24" suppressed barrel.

My experience with GKs is that they will usually come very close to equalling MKs in guns that like them. Performance on game is excellent, if pretty standard for a cupncore.
All in all i think thats a very interesting load. Thanks for shooting it and writing that up!

So I shot another 10-round group last night when I got home using the same ammo and had an almost identical group with 9 shots inside .3XX or less and one out at 10 o'clock which opened the group up to around .65 moa. At this point I don't think the one out is down to me and it might be that 10% of the ammo is slightly different in some way but still great ammo. The LabRadar is kind of a pain when shooting suppressed and I'm still trying to figure out where to put the unit relative to the rifle in order to get a consistent reading. Of the 10 rounds shot the LabRadar only picked up six and the results are shown below. 2,679 fps is reasonable from a 24" barrel although the suppressor adds around 50 fps.

Here's the 10-shot group that goes with the velocity data above. It was very windy for the second group which probably explains the 3/8 moa shift left. You can see how similar the group is to the first 10-shot group. The outlier was shot 5, 6, or 7 and wasn't a mirage issue so it's possible that the outlier in the first group wasn't due to me or the rifle at all. Overall this is amazing factory hunting ammunition for the 6.5 Creedmoor in my AI. It would be interesting to see how well it shoots in other rifles.
