I can't believe how much hi powers are going for now.
Several years ago I bought a new .40 S&W SFS, FN marked, Belgium made and assembled high power for $400. I love it. It's not a Browning, but FN makes all of the hi powers for Browning.

Sorry, your FN marked .40 Cal was assembled in Portugal. All Hi powers, whether marked FN or Browning have been assembled in Portugal since 1971.

Not to hijack the thread, but $600 is a decent price these days for an ANIB Browning in 9mm. Does it have fixed sights?

Get is already or tell me where to call so I can guy it and have it transfered to my FFL.

Post #17 I dropped back in to say that I got it.

Does it have fixed sights?

Somehow I managed to over look whether it did or not. Don't ask me how that happened. :) I'll have it a little over a week from now. (10 day wait periods due to living in Komnifornia.)

I just got an unfired one in the box MKII for 600 OTD and I thought it was an excellent price.

MK II is the larger sights and larger safety lever right?

Hopefully mine turns out to be truly unfired as well. Like I said, I'll post pics to try to show the condition it's in (but only if people are interested.) :)

And thanks for your willingness to help me out with this, everybody. I appreciate the time you all took to point me in the right direction.

Thanks a lot. :)

Yes, the MKII is the larger safety and larger sights but it is not quite as good as the MKIII. The MKII also has less than stellar parkerization on it. God shooting though.

And the way to tell whether it's a Mk II or Mk III are very subtle differences correct?

I think I'll definitely have to post a picture to see which it is now. I'm the curious one now. I'm thinking it's gonna turn out to be a MK II though....

So in your estimation earl what gives the edge to the III over the II?

Thanks!

And thanks one more time to everybody!
