Thank God you didn't listen to the first couple responses here! My initial thoughts were that the front sight is pinned and the fiber optic was most likely a drop-in and pin deal. Lucky for you, that was the case. Even luckier for you, you got a 3" for 1/3 of the current market price!

You grabbed your deal of the decade. Don't quibble too much over prices in the coming years

Prices on all non-lock Smiths are rising. I managed to buy a 66-2 for $340 a few months ago, but it was a 6" barrel not the way more rare 3".

Remember that gun prices are regional and where certain guns may be less expensive in one local, in another they can be quite a bit higher. I have made some super deals here in Reno, but when I lived in the Peoples Republic of California, I rarely saw a revolver sell for what I have been able to pick them up for here.

$450 OTD with the original sights was a more than fair price for what you got. I would buy them all day for that price regardless of what others say.
