7.62x39 ?

Has anyone tried a .312" 32 cal bullet for 7.62x39, I have a bolt action RAR.

Have you slugged your barrel or otherwise determined the exact dimension of your bore? I have used a .312 bullet and my bore is .3105.

Slug your bore, get an expander of that measurement, and use bullets of that diameter. I use .310 dia. for x39. I have used .312 for a very shot/worn out Mosin.

The Ruger American Ranch has a five groove rifling, it's tricky to get a accurate measurement of the slug.

Wrap it in a thin piece of metal, measure, and subtract twice the thickness of the metal wrap.

This is similar to the process of measuring threads with wires gauges.
