That sounds like a good deal if it wasn't from Cheaper than Dirt. They'll never get any more of my business and a lot of people on here feel the same way.

Cheaper than dirt was the worst of the price gougers during the pre-Obama scare. They were part of the reason prices got so high in the first place. Do a search on here and you'll find a few threads about it.

i hate the fact that they wont sell most items to me in ny (although im not in the city so most is legal besides hi cap mags made after 1994),also high shipping prices, and only average item prices

so you wont buy it for $4.79 at a such great deal just because they price jumped us by $20? pre-obama

Correct. Besides, I was able to buy in bulk from Cabelas during the height of the scare for barely over $5 a box and that was for the 154 gr Wolf SP, which I consider to be a better round.

Aim needs ID for ammo orders?

Screw that.

So? How else would they know your not 12? Its gonna be either that or have someone wait on delivery truck to sign for the package. Guess what, all transactions at the gun stores and stuff are on security camera too. They ask to see your ID anywhere you buy ammo if there doing there job and following the law. Its pretty painless to scan or take a picture of ya ID and send it to them via email or fax, and they are a reputable company. I have ordered from them before and will again. Cheaper than dirt on the other hand will not get any of my business and apparently don't want it since they could never get my credit card billed and customer service was less than helpful when I called.

Screw Cheaper Than Dirt. I understand supply and demand economics and what the market will bear. I still disagree with their outright gouging of so many faithful customers. I loved em but no more of my money will go there.

Aimsurplus is great as are a few others out there. You can find five dollar a box at plenty of good places.

I am seeing 7.62x39 wolf for $29.99 per 100. Golden Tiger for 6.99 per 20.

Lots and lots of both.

Prices are coming down in gun shops anyway.

I have no opinion on CTD.

^ Well, AIM does and it really is a simple as faxing a copy of your DL. They are not asking for a SS# or anything.

AIM is a great company to do business with.

I had no customer relationship with CTD before Obama and based on their actions I don't expect to be forming one in the future.

MidwayUSA is hardly ever the cheapest, but they didn't increase prices at all during the "scare/shortage," and they allowed backorders on most items even when the timeline stretched into many months, so they also get my vote as a good place to buy from.
