I researched the archives and didn't find much info on this cartridge. Research on-line seems to be all over the place with what appear to be opinions.

I have dies for the 7.62X25 which I've used for my CZ52s and Tokarevs. I recently bought a Broomhandle in 7.63X25 (.30 Mauser).

One site listed Redding dies for use for both calibers. Other sites list two different die set numbers. Before I buy another set of dies (and brass), I would like to hear some "real-world" experience on using the 7.62X25 dies to reload the 7.63.

I'd prefer to avoid the "I've heard" and the "I think" responses.

I bought a broomhandle pistol just to prove that the load books were wrong, and that it is stronger than CZ52s.

But the broomhandle I got will pierce the primer just short of what consistently blows up CZ52s.

I also have a 30 Mauser reamer, and the guns I built with it are good for 7.62x25mm Tokarev factory ammo.

Thanks, Clark. That's what I was looking for..."hands-on" experience.

I believe I'll just reduce the 7.62X25 recipe, while lengthening the OAL.
