My neighbor found one in pristine condition in the Spring of '07 and it had a less-than-nice trigger (and bought it scoped with a cheap glass for $300 :banghead. He asked the local gunsmith about a trigger job and was told to give it a summer of woodchucking and target shooting before deciding about trigger work and that turned out to be great advice. The gunsmith also said that with the 788s - less trigger work is usually more. That's just to say an "easy-does-it" approach might be a good idea.
