I have the factory extension for my Remington 870 and the clamp has a hole in the bottom. Does the Uncle Mike's Push Button sling swivel stud fit this properly? Any problems with mounting one?

mine had a stud already in that hole. it went through from the inside and had a small snap ring to hold it in place. i removed it because it made to much noise. plus i wanted to mount a sling in a different location.

As I recall, the newer Uncle Mike's push button swivel stud is too high to fit into the factory clamp. The bottom of the clamp is to close to the barrel and the stud won't lock in before contacting the barrel.

You can also buy a factory swivel stud from Remington. This attaches with a snap ring.
Contact Remington for price and availability.

Gun Parts Corp sells something that I "think" is the swivel mount for the bracket:

I also "think" that Uncle Mike's sell a stud for the factory clamp.

You'll have to contact them to find out, it's not on the web site.

Remington will sell you the clamp and stud, but not the stud alone. I found a less expensive solution at Uncle Mikes a few years ago:

Uncle Mike's QD 1" Super Swivels w/Stud Swivel (P/N 1671-2) Simply remove the stud and insert it into your OE 870 barrel/mag clamp. Works great.

Don't know if it's still available. Try Googling for more information. More here.

Thanks for all the advice. I looked thro my spare parts drawer and found a Wilson one shot extension which I had removed the swivel stud from the end of. This stud fit perfectly in the Remington clamp and I used the small C-shaped wire to secure it.
