I found an easy way for the Remington 870 factory mag tube clamp to fit on any after market tube extension without modifying the factory clamp. All you do is take a Choate sling swivel stud off of one of their clamps and use it on the the 870 clamp. Remove the sling swivel from the stud and drill out the hole in the stud. The pictures show how to use the threaded stud & nut. I knew the Choate mag tube clamps had to be good for something. It is an excellent way to add a side sling stud to a older 870 factory clamp that doesn't have one. It is a more secure setup because the stud is held on by a nut and it can be torqued down tighter. No alteration has to be done to the 870 factory mount only to the swivel stud. This setup will work on other shotguns also.
