870 magnum barrel on a super magnum?

Will 870 magnum barrels fit an 870 Super magnum gun?

I couldn't find anything in search.

No, the super magnum barrell according to Remington can not be used on any other 870.

But that didn't answer whether a magnum barrel will fit a supermag gun....

In the manual that came with my 870P it said the barrels were not inter changeable with an super magnum. Please note, I am very new to shotguns and I can only tell you what is in the manual.

I found this on Remington's website. I skipped right over when I looked before. Sorry about that.

NOTE: Model 870 Extra Barrels with 2-3/4" chambers will fit Super Magnum, Magnum, and 2-3/4" receivers.

NOTE: Model 870 Extra Barrels with 3" chambers will fit Super Magnum, Magnum, and 2-3/4" receivers. These barrels will handle both 2-3/4" and 3" shells when used on Magnum receivers. Use only 2-3/4" shells when these barrels are used on 2-3/4" receivers

Thanks Paul for that information. I must have miss read my manual. I will blame it on my poor eye sight .
