Looking to buy some 9mm cast and I see the two options are 125 or 147. What is your preferred cast bullet for 9mm. Going to be shot in a Beretta Border Marshal, G17 w/ correct barrel, and Springfield 1911.
I would stick with properly lubed 125's sized to suit your pistol. Many times I find the defacto .356" sizing too small, and the ultra hard lube used not up to the job. I cast a Lee 124 grain TC tumble lube bullets sized .357" or even .358" for my 9's, and left unsized (.359", .360" depending on alloy) in my 38 special. I find Unique and WW231 to be very good propellants for this application after trying many others.
Hmm, not much love for the heavier bullet (147) in the nines. Is this because the 125's are less expensive, or are more effective/accurate, or cycle the action more reliably?
