Browning Hi-Power... I actually like Glocks better for general shootability; but the Hi-Power is a very ergonomic and slim pistol that still serves very well in the role. One reason I carry the Hi-Power is because I can carry it without changing how I have been dressing. I just can't do that with the Glock... needs fatter pants and larger shirts to conceal as well as the Hi-Power.

Beretta Px4

and Calico Liberty III if wearing a long coat. (On rare occasions Just because I can. 50 or 100 round capacity !) Both highly reliable and accurate with the recoil of a mild .22

My usual CCW is a Kahr P9. Very slim and concealable, accurate, and light.

I'm also a big fan of CZ's, and lately I've been looking at HK P2000s. Too many choices.

Glock 26!

Plastic bores me but its dead reliable, tough finish, and easy shooting..

I love my PX4 Storm, when the sc model comes out it might be the new winner....zero recoil on those guns.

:)

For concealed?......Sig 239. Extra slim for comfort and concealability any time of the year. Available in 9mm, .40, and .357sig. It will also outshoot most other full sized pistols on the market right out of the box. Oh, did I mention very long service life? I can take 25 year old Sigs out of my agency armory that have fired tens of thousands of rounds and been beat up with duty use and they will still shoot sub 2" groups at 25 yards while remaining stone cold reliable.

i voted for the xd, i love th eline up and i own 2 xd's which both serve as carry guns, i love em, the glocks are fine too and i wouldn't have any reservations if i had to carry one, but the xd and me fit like two pees in a pod.

Hey Pilot, PIC here as well, but I've never heard his name..

Who and what did/does he do?

Sent you a PM, but in case anyone else is interested he's a pretty famous aviation author that wrote "Fate is the Hunter" and many others. Good to see another pilot on THR. Pick it up, its a good read especially if your into flying.

Now back to your regularly scheduled 9MM thread. ;)

I voted other.

Only way I'd carry a 9mm is if it was significantly smaller/lighter than my Kahr PM40.

Someday, a Rohrbaugh may replace my P3AT for those times even the PM40 is too big.

Copy tht Pilot, and will do..

And FYI, I took the phrase from an old movie: ~ Fate is the Hunter ~ but I can live with a fellow flying buddy and his book, named that, as well.. :)

OTHER and other

Taurus PT145 PRO (not listed) and .45acp (not 9mm) Would also carry my Witness Compact all steel 10mm in a pinch but would never leave home with just a 9mm unless it was a 9 x 63.
