CAUTION: The following post includes loading data beyond currently published maximums for this cartridge. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Neither the writer, The High Road, nor the staff of THR assume any liability for any damage or injury resulting from use of this information.

This is what I got. 9mm 147gr precision delta Jacketed round nose projectile, 4.0gr titegroup, 1.11 oal, cci spp.

This is over the max of 3.6gr for a 147gr projectile.

I was checking the weight of the projectile and found I had 147 and not 124's which would be ok as per load data with Hogdon.

I caught this and am wondering if these would be ok to shoot as +p loads. Were in the neighborhood of 10% over the max load. I have a Glock 17 with a barrel rated for +p loads.

what say those with experience in these matters?

be safe.

Flag on the play!

OK in doing due diligence, I found that with my iPhone I got different load data than with my laptop.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

It seems that 4.0 grains of titegroup is well within the load data for a 147grain Jacketed round nose, at 1.11 oal and with a cci spp.

I would still like input from y'all.:eek:

be safe.

I doubt it will blow up a G17, might bulge the brass though. I would recommend you break out the "mistake hammer".

There are much better powders to make over-pressure 9x19 ammo with.

thanks I wasn't trying to make +p stuff, I just found the error when I double checked my stuff whilst loading.

ALWAYS CHECK AND RECHECK AND CHECK AGAIN.

be safe.

You are NOT well within the range.
Per Hogdon:
http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/pistol

That data is for an XTP JHP which is well known for being able to be driven harder and faster than other projectiles in its class. Also the data is for a COAL of 1.10 for a JHP NOT a FMJ.

Not only are you overcharged but IMO you are seated too deep. I seat my 147gr rounds no shorter than 1.142".

Proceed at your own risk. I seriously doubt that anyone here will endorse your using this ammo.

Good Luck, wear safety glasses and pull your hat brim low.

When I'm looking for a 9mm +P load I usually turn to Longshot or HS-6. If Accurate powders are available to you AA#7 will also do a good job.
