Shooting in water and into human the human body has different outcomes...

That said , I would like to see your results if you had tried to use the FBI protocol for testing ammo.. which is 10% ballistic gelatin covered with 4 layers of heavy denim. I have seen the results of such tests and the results of all of them for the 147 grain bullets are not consistent in expansion nor penetration. Usually out of a five shot string there are at least one or two that do not expand with this bullet. The best and most consistent bullet weight for the 9mm Gold dot is the 124gr +P load. One shot is not enough to base an outcome for a particular ammo choice. It must be done repeatedly and be consistent to be of value.

...all 147GR bullets are not the same...I admit that I gave up when the 147GR was first brought out and admittedly there has been a LOT of development since then but I stick currently to the 124GR standard velocity Speer Gold Dots (issued)...if there was one 9MM bullet that clearly stood out...everyone would use it...and most of the bullets developed today for Law Enforcement and for Individual use are developed with the FBI Protocols in mind...I agree with snooperman that repeated and consistent results should be important to the end user...as it might be to the end receiver...

Four layers of heavy demin cloth is not an FBI test event - it is an IWBA Handgun Specification test event. See - http://www.firearmstactical.com/iwba.htm
