Hello, I've got a couple of questions on 2 Remington 700's that I'm looking at. I've looked them up in the 2009 Standard Catalog of Firearms as a price reference, but would like some more advise from the THR community - you guys are great!

The first one is a Remington 700 SPS in .223 with a Leupold VX-I 3-9x 40mm scope on it. It is in excellent shape and appears to be like new.

The second is an older model 700 (when in the safe position the bolt cannot be manipulated) in .30-06.... I'm guessing it's an ADL with the wood stock, as it does not have a floor plate on it and does have the open sights (this one does not have a scope) The recoil pad is in bad shape but the bluing and stock is nice with only minor dings to both. The bolt is a bit sticky, I'm not sure what was on it but as I was able to remove whatever it is with my finger and I'm sure that with proper cleaning that gunk will come off.

Could you please give me an estimate of what these guns are worth? I like both of them and I want to be prepared to make a fair deal! Thank you!

depending on the mount and rings on the 223, I'd pay $700-800 if it were new. just me though.
