Finished up a couple of big knives this week and thought I would share them here.

I don't do too many big knives. Most of my work is under 4 inches and the majority of that is under 3 inches. I had fun doing these, so maybe I will be doing a few more BIG knives in the future...

The first one is a Knife I call the BEAST. It is not overly long but it for sure qualifies as BIG!!

Overall length is 12 7/8" with a 6 3/4" blade of 3/8" A2 with a Paul Bos heat treatment. The blade is a full flat grind. The handle scales are textured Pumpkin (orange/black) G-10. Got this one done in plenty of time for Halloween....

Here are the pics shot with my 10mm Dan Wesson with pumpkin G-10 grips by Larry Davidson the grip wizard.

This shot shows it in the hand and it IS a handful!

The second BIG knife is simply the Krein Bowie. This is the first Krein Bowie I have finished. This is a BIG knife! Overall length is 16 5/8" with a 10" blade. The blade steel is A2 with Paul Bos heat treat and has a full flat grind.

The handle scales are textured red/black G-10.

The balance is right at the front corby bolt, or over the index finger. It feels very quick and lively in the hand. The handle has a very nice oval shape that allows a lot of control over the blade and orients the edge nicely.

Here is a shot from the business end...

Here it is making my Glock 17 look small...

Here it is with one of my TK-1 Neckers for a size comparison.

Thanks for taking a look. Would love to hear what you think....
