Last weekend I had some time off so I got some people together to come out to my father's house out in the country for some good old fashioned plinking. I brought my wife and her 19 year old sister, as well as my neighbor.
We started off shooting my neighbors Ruger 22 match pistol with the 6 inch bull barrel. There is probably no better gun for a first time shooter than this pistol. My sister-in-law had never fired a gun before but she was a former archery star in HS and by her third shot she was making a popcan dance with every shot at about 10 yards.
My wife enjoyed the .22 as well but felt it was really too large of a gun for her to hold for long. I was just dying to try out my new CZ-75 9mm from "Sgt-spam" and found out that it shot just as well as I'd dreamed. My wife and her sister put a few clips thru it as well but didn't like the kick too much. I let my neighbor shoot the CZ but he only was only allowed one clip because it is after all my gun and therefore I should be the only one doing any sort of rapid firing and....
We finished by blasting some rotten apples into smithereens that we picked up off the ground and chucked into the air for my Norinco 982. All in all it was a great day introducing a new shooter although my shoulder was a bit sore after firing 7 shells from the shotgun in about 10 seconds...
