Alright, so I live in Orange County, California. That means I am subject to the "One gun a month" law which makes some of my gun buying plans a little difficult.
What I would like to do is own a .22 pistol and a 1911 before the year is out. Unfortunately, I might not get a chance to buy both and might have to settle for just one.
I'm having a hard time deciding between the two; I would love to buy a 1911 on the 100th year anniversary, but I'd get more mileage out of a .22.
Now, I suppose I could solve this problem by buying a .22 conversion kit for a 1911, but I hear those are a bit finicky.
Thoughts? Advice?
