I just got to shoot my new Glock 36 yesterday. I put about 125 rounds through it without a problem . Fifty Winchester white box, the rest reloads. This is my first Glock, and I have to say it’s a nice shooting pistol. The trigger is a bit snappy. So is the recoil. But all in all I think it may be a keeper. I was a little apprehensive about getting a G 36. It doesn’t seem to get much love on the internet. I know 125 rounds aren’t enough to tell if it going to be reliable but it’s a good start.

So, do you love your G36?

It will be my next pistol. I am needing a summer .45. I am sure enjoying this colder weather though, my 21SF and 30SF are gettting some carry time. Its amazing what a Crossbreed Supertuck can make disapear.

The G36 had a few teething problems when it first came out. There were a few accounts where the little guy would not run reliably in spite of several attempts at tweaking by the Smyrna guys.

Then, an upgrade (never say recall) to fix a minor problem with excess plastic on the trigger safety.

I haven't heard of any problems since.

Mine is accurate and runs great with 200gr HPs.

I have had my G36 for a couple of months already. I have put a few hundred rounds through it and have become very comfortable and accurate with it. It is my carry and practice with it only up to 10 yards. I am a .45 guy and actually found the recoil very manageable for such a small package. I used to have a Taurus Milleneum Pro in .45. It was an OK gun but compared to the G36, it was night and day. With the Taurus, the recoil was snappy and I had to "work" to make the sights go back to target. The first time I took out the G36, I was hitting my POI nearly every shot. I new this gun going to be my prinmary CCW for along time.

Enjoy the pistol and practice with it alot.
