Trade my Glock 36?

If you put Pearce +0 extensions on your mags, that won't happen anymore.

Yeah I have the Plus Zero, it makes a huge difference. My pinky rides right in the grooves and it fits perfect in my hand.

That image is either a +1 or a +2.
And no, that image is the Plus Zero. The mag sticks out even farther with the Plus One. The G36 is designed that way, don't forget it's a single stack .45ACP. Here's a quick couple pictures with the Pearce Plus Zero extension, it fits my hand like a glove.

Yeah the G26 just has a curved mag floorplate right? My SR9c came with those, they actually feel great in your hand but they print too much when I carry.

I held a g36 again the other day when I went to pick up my new 26 and to my surprise it felt MUCH better than I had remembered. I am now intrigued by this single-stack .45 and might be putting it on my short list once I get my NC CCP.

It's a weird grip to me. Sometimes when grabbing the 36 it feels fine and other times it feels less fine. It's the length vs. width ratio of the 36's grip.

However, when it comes shooting time, the grip feels really good (w/ Pearce +0s) and it seems to help with recoil and pointing while shooting rapidly.

How did you get the recoil spring end to get so shiny? Plastic polish?

LCP,LC9,G36? And yeah that looks shiny, my round count is only at 125. I love it though and I would regret selling it. I chose to keep it about a week ago, it's a sweet gun. The LC9 in MA has a crazy long trigger pull and I stay away from it. It is a great gun minus that trigger.

So I still have problems with keeping the Glock 36 down and the muzzle flip is getting to me. I almost have a deal for a Gen 4 Glock 19. What do you all think? And do you know if Glock can reapply the black coating on the barrel if it was polished off?

Here's the pictures that the seller sent me. I hope that he accepts the trade. It only has 150 rounds through it. Gen 4 I so beautiful.

My first Glock was a 36 which i foolishly traded off. It was toward my 21, which is my favorite all around pistol, but i wish i had held onto the 36. My main gripe was lack of accessories and interchangeable parts that so many other Glocks have.

I gnashed my teeth over this one for the better part of a year. However, i think my heart has been able to move on with my new G26. Due to budget and firearm familiarity, I no longer feel undergunned with 10+1 of quality 9mm nor can i practice enough with. 45 to stay adequate. I actually shoot the 26 better as well. I also like the fact that so many parts and mags can be used with the 26.

I still wish I had kept my 36, but I'm getting along just fine with the 26 :)

The G26 is a very versatile handgun. But I want the G19 first. I have a first gen G17 with Austrian proofs but it's not a CCW. The 19 is a great carry gun and a really good size for me. I have the Ruger SR9c which I carry a lot so the G26 would be useless to me at this point as they are the same size. Thanks for the reply , the G36 is cool but it's too light for a 45 and I don't like that it's not interchangeable either.

There is nothing wrong with the 19:) I debated the issue myself between a 26 and 19 and finally settled on the 26 because I needed a deep concealment piece that could pull a few roles from EDC to range use to HD and could be modified to offer more firepower should the need arise.

After a series of early morning robberies in my place of business' neighborhood (also very close to my daughter's day care and not in a "bad neighborhood" by any definition of the word), I decided that I didn't feel as warm and fuzzy with an LCP or LCR in my pocket. I can dress around a 19 (hell, I sometimes dress around my 21), however, the very short grip on the 26 proves to be best for my needs.

You have an SR9c (a pistol I was very on the fence about had I not had issues with my original SR9), so yes, a 26 doesn't bring much to the table. Enjoy the 19, if you get it:) Great pistol and certainly on my list to get one day:evil:

Yeah the 19 will be great this fall and winter. I am thin so it'll print more in the summer but I love the 19. Thanks for the advice !

I love my G36. :) I've owned it for over 10 yrs.but they're not for everyone. Before you shoot it again, buy a Hogue rubber grip sleeve for it and the mag extender. They will help you manage the recoil better. Going to a lighter bullet will help as several have suggested. I use the 230 gr. but much smaller will be big enough. I just put night sights on it and love it more.

Traded my Glock 36!

I traded my 36 today for a new Gen4 G19 and I am excited. The 19 shoots like a dream and I couldn't be happier. I am thankful for all the helpful replies and suggestions. I went with the 19 due to the mid size and the 9mm round. I can shoot it comfortably without sacrificing grip or weight. No wonder why people say it's the best gun on the planet. :what:

Great choice!

I love my Gen 4 G19 - A wonderful gun!

Nice! You'll probably shoot that more, and more comfortably, considering ammo cost and 9mm recoil.

I wish I could like the compact Glocks... The sub-compacts are just so good in my hands, though.

I picked up a 36 on Monday. I love it. I think I have now owned almost every model Glock makes at some point minus the 45 GAP models and the long slides. I really like this 36. After a couple mags to acclimate myself to it, it started punching out the center of the silhouette at 20 yards. I don't think the recoil is bad at all. Of course I was shooting it next to my Bodyguard 380 that I bought the same day and that Bodyguard is pretty snappy.

The only issue I had was my thumb riding just under the slide lock lever and causing the slide to lock back in the middle of a loaded mag. I adjusted my grip slightly and never had the problem again. Overall, I'd have to say I am very pleased with this little 45.
