A look at a surplus Sig P6

Mine says Sig Sauer on the slide. Means it's gotta be a Sig. Not sure nor do I care what "purists" say about it.

Re-asking my question from before... why does it say "Made in W. Germany" on the slide as opposed to "Gebildet in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland" or something?

That's a fantastic question. I really don't know but sure would be interested to find out.

Seconded. The only reason I can think of would be that the "Made in W. Germany" was stamped on the slide by the Germans right before they were exported to the United States. But I could very well be completely wrong.

I bought two, sold one and kept one. I refinished mine in Dark Earth gunkote and updated to the new style trigger spring. I paid $289.00 each from CDNN and was pleased. If anyone knows where to buy some decent grips please feel free to PM me. I may buy another.
