On a prior post I spoke about my permit which took only 18 months. Good thing it was approved for concealed. My wife got hers as well. We went to the gun store to purchase a concealable handgun. Looked at many. Couldn’t make up our minds so we got a Mossberg MC1 and a Sig P365. Yes I did my homework first.

After the purchase we had to send in via mail our permits and a receipt so that we could get an approval coupon back in order to pick up our new pistols. Sent them in on a Sunday at the post office drop box. Mine was back Thursday. My wife had to wait over two weeks for hers. We took the Mossberg out last week. Shot about a hundred through it. Accuracy as great. Feel in the hand excellent. Had many failures to return to battery. That last little couple millimeters for lock up. I clean the pistol well. Oiled it just a bit and cycled the crap out of it all week. Returned to the range today and it is getting worse. Filled out a return form. It’s going back. No, I wasn’t limp wristing. Wife, friend of mine, and myself all had the same issue. Tried three ammo types. Same problem.

Wife picked up the Sig while I was out of town. I cleaned it yesterday. Just like the other. We took it to the range as well. Shot almost 160 rounds through it. No failures of any type. Zero. Shot well with good accuracy. Fed 115s, 124’s and 147’s. Wife likes it. Although she is still learning. I would load a snap cap now and then middle mag. Then watch. We made some adjustments and she did even better. It works. No striker drag that impacted early models.

‘My friend brought his SCCY. It didn’t feed the 124’s or the 147’s well. Recoils a lot more than ours and hurts my index finger to shoot. It’s ok. Not one I would get.

I quit looking for a CCW gun when I found a P365 with a safety. Ideal for my needs.
A Hogue grip sleeve specifically made for the 365 is a great improvement in recoil management.

Replaced the guide rod on the MC1 with one from a Glock 43. Tested today and no failures at all. Might be good to go. I am also checking out mag guts per your suggestion. Thanks Iggy.
