A Very Interesting Bulgarian M1891/59 Carbine

My friend has a very interesting M1891/59 Bulgarian Carbine. These carbines were made from M1891/30 rifles. This one is on a Finnish M91/30 rifle with a Tikka barrel. Apparently it was captured by the Soviets from the Finns in WW2 . The capture of Finn rifles by the Soviets was rare. The Soviets lost over 1,000,000 men in their fight against the Finns (1939-1944) and the Finnish lost 40,000. This rifle is probably one of a kind.

I will admit I have never seen another one, though you'd think more captured FInn barreled M91/30's would exist, due to the more accurate Finnish (and Bohler-Stahl) barrels.

Is it .308 or .310/311?

I love Mosins. Had three myself and got may Dad's when he passed away. So, now I have four.

His was the one I cut my teeth on as a kid. If you can shoot those triggers, you can shoot anything. ;)

I just roll in the floor when I hear folks whining about triggers.

There were not many Tikka 91/30s and they only made it to the front toward the tail end of the Continuation War, so there was not much opportunity for them to be captured, let alone survive to enter the Soviet stockpile.
