I am curious what experiences folks have had with AAC ammo from Palmetto State. I am looking for some more budget-oriented training ammo than is generally available for me to purchase locally.

Specifically, I'm curious about muzzle flash and noise. I have tried a lot of different ammo brands; I like PMC, S&B, Winchester, Blazer Brass, etc. Recently I've had less pleasant experience with Fiocchi Range Dynamics 9mm and some Federal aluminum-cased .45ACP. Both had what I felt was excessive muzzle flash/blast compared to the others I mentioned, as well as a bit more felt recoil. These were standard target loaded FMJ rounds, 115gr and 230gr respectively, so no, I didn't buy +P or something by mistake ;)

I'm looking into AAC as a reasonably-priced option. Any opinions appreciated.

Thanks!

where is a PSA store close to you. you said ''to purchase locally'' and you're in Cincinn OH

I wondered!
Relatives in SinSinn area, would've told them .

Anyways, Shop shop shop hehe

It shoots well enough ,wasn't impressed with what it looked like . .223 in particular cases looked used and definitely NOT shiny . For range fodder one could do worse aka Winchester white box :(

Some of the dirtiest, dingey dinged up cases used to be the Federal XM193 "LC" stamped 5.56, it looked like the rejects that got swept up off the floor at the factory but it always fed and even though it looked trashy it was highly regarded and had low flash. It was noticeably spicier than others on the market but it was good gov't overun stuff. I've got about 5K+ LC cases to reload at a later date, it supposed to be some of the best quality brass and can be reloaded 5-7 times. I'm told.

I can assure You or anyone else certain years of LC cases were better than other years . That being said I've had ZERO problems reloading any of them and they do last ,providing neck and shoulder are returned to ductility ( some refer to that as annealed but it's Not ) but for arguments sake refer to it anyway you like .
I'm still using MANY LC 1942-68 .30 Cal. M1 as well as 1953-2016 LC 7.62X51mm cases ,as a matter of fact I've got #28 reloadings on a group .30 Cal fired out of MY Garands and they'll be loaded again . All the Garand loads are within 1-1.5 grains maximum with various powders , I'm monitoring case life .

So far all is REAL GOOD .
