This is a side charge. 18" stainless heavy barrel with the spiral fluting. I wanted something a bit gucci.

I've used many of the RMR 69gr and I believe with a different powder and a little work you can get it to even tighter than that. Try a bottle of TAC.

Not too bad considering. Lately one has to balance out cost vs reward. When supplies were cheap I could afford a more detailed and far reaching workup, It all comes down to is it accurate at present for your needs.

If the goal is paper punching, you’re there. If you want to hunt deer you might need more gun. For anything bigger than deer you definitely need more gun. Whether or not good is good enough is always up to you but, it depends on what you expect to get for results and that depends on what you’re going for.

I'm always just curious how much accuracy I can wring out of a gun. This is certainly enough accuracy for paper targets and ringing steel out to 600.
As for deer, I find the idea of shooting one with my AR and this bullet interesting, but not to the point where I'd actually do it. The 250 savage is much better suited to the task.

I think to get any more accuracy out of this rifle I need to change scopes. That one minute dot in the 6x rt6 covers a lot of target. If I put the sightron 4x16 on it with the 1/8th minute dot I may be able to take a finer hold on the target. I am not completely sure I can shoot well enough to realize that potential. Again, just trying to see what the system is capable of. It's all just range time. Turning powder into noise.

Good enough for hunting, but I think consistent brass and a different powder might yield better groups for you. N133 would be my first pick if you catch it when its available.

For the 1,000 yard bench rest match, not so good. For anything practical (hunting or defending the homestead) quite sufficient. Good on you.
