9mm? thats limiting the "most accurate handgun" I think you should forget those plastic sissy pistols and get yourself a 1911. Get one of the target pistols and they are tack drivers.......that is if .45 isnt to much for you to handle:neener:

But im sure you dont mean any kind of custom pistols so:

That said for 9mm, you cant go wrong with either a Walther P99 or a PX4

I agree with the G26 guys. I have been quite surprised by how accurate mine is. I used to own a PT99 and a G17, and the G26 is a better shooter than either of them.

P7M8 is very accurate.
My Kahr P9 is much more accurate than I thought it would be. The P7 still does better.

I'll add another endorsement of the Browning Hi-Power. A Commander size 1911 in 9mm would also be an excellent choice.

My CZ 75 BD is very accurate and I picked it up for 300 out the door in CA no less.

I would put it up against a 226 any day accuracy wise, and have may times with friends at the range. It holds its own.

Sig P210.
Followed a long way behind by the S&W 952, various Pardinis, Sig P226 X-5 and X-6, P7 (and maybe P9) maybe some Walthers. And probably a few exotics. Followed a long way behind by the CZ 75.

On the other hand, nearly any quality pistol (H&K, Glock, Sig, quality 1911s) is more accurate than 99% of all shooters. My experience has been that shooting two Sig 210s has made me a much more accurate shooter (even though I still have a long way to go); and the skills learned on that pistol seem to apply to other weapons too.

I personally prefer commander sized 1911s, Berettas, and the Springfield XD9 but others have said, most of the major gun companies make a reliable and accurate 9mm. Find the one that fits your hand the best and is comfortable to shoot.

H&K's fit the bill lovely!!! my 45 tactical shoots darts!!<very tight groups> if i take my time i can have 90% of my strings touching at 25 feet
