Anyone own both? I'm looking to switch up the rubber grip on my k frame. I would use the t grip with a set of checkered magna style grips. If anyone has some pics of then side by side and from the back that would be great.

Works for me.

No knowledge of Ahrend's revolver grips but I have a pair of his 1911 grips and the quality and craftsmanship are outstanding. When I want minimal bulk with my J and K frame guns I like to use a Tyler T-Grip adapter with the factory stocks.

Ahrends makes some of the finest stocks available for S&W revolvers. Tylers work very well but some are put off by the look of them.

It depends on the revolver.

The Ahrends tactical stocks are excellent and would be my choice for a revolver that I intend to carry and shoot often. They are more comfortable to me than magnas with a T grip.

That being said, my pre-war S&W revolvers get elk stag magnas with a T grip style adapter (BK grip adapter) for a more classic look. To me, Ahrends tactical stocks just wouldn't fit the character of an older revolver.

I think the Tyler T grips with the stock S&W magna grips just look incredibly awesome and classy. Not only that but THEY FEEL GREAT.

I think the Ahrend tacti-grips looks cool, but like someone else said, they'd look out of place on an older revolver.

I have shot revolvers with Ahrends grips and I have T-Grips on several of my revolvers. IMO both are completely different and which you use will depend upon what you are comfortable with. Really, they are so different you can't compare them.
