Im interested in getting a red dot for my AK to go on a UTG rail system. Im not looking to drop a lot of money on it maby $250 tops. I don't have the rail yet, so if you know of a option that doesn't need the rail thats fine.

Im interested in a aimpoint clone and have a few questions.
Are these clones a copy of the aimpoint circuitry offering a long battery life, or are they a run of the mill red dot inside a aimpoint shell?

I found someone on THR selling them here

any familiar with these?

i've got one that i purchased a couple years ago from some place in canada.
it seems to hold zero well (shooting .223),
when i got mine, the most dim setting did not work, still doesnt.

it takes the small watch type batteries, which sucks....but i haven't had to change the batteries as of yet.
i wish someone made and eotech clone of similar quality.
the flip lense covers on mine are a little....flimsy.
other than that i'm more than happy with it.
and the price i paid was in the same ballpark as the one in the link you posted.

i've been looking for an aimpoint clone as well!
try 1337tactical.com; when i googled " aimpint clones" this website showed up.
if any one has done business with this site, could you tell me if it is reliable?

These guys have them for a little over $100 each complete with a Knights Armaments (#98512) mount. These have both red and green dot depending which way you turn knob. (The mount alone lists for nearly $200).

Scope is not listed on their website, you'll need to call 319-551 -5842 www.apexodt.com
