Well I don't have the 6.8 rifle yet, it has been ordered. I ordered a Rock River Arms LAR-6.8 Mid-Length A4. I have been smitten with the 6.8 caliber since I learned of it. I think because it so closely duplicates the .276 Pedersen and .280 British, two rounds I believe were the perfect combat rounds. This 6.8 is merely a modernized version of those two, I just hope it's popularity continues to grow. I am holding my breath.
Nonetheless, I took the SLR-95 out today with the micro H-1 to sight it in. What I noticed was that there is no adjustment arrows under the caps, so you had to remember which way clockwise and counter-clockwise on the knobs took the dot, bringing the manual would've helped
I was able to tell the difference between the 2moa and 4moa dot sizes at this time, but I don't think it affected accuracy out my SLR-95 that much. My groups appeared to be about the same at that range with the 2moa dot. I was using the colored archery targets for some reason and the red dot washed out on the yellow bullseye, so I had to turn the intensity up to see it better. But out to 50 yards I was easily able to keep all shots in the center yellow with very little effort.
What I noticed also was that I had a slightly harder time focusing on the target with my right eye when both eyes were open. It seemed that my left eye wanted to take over and it threw me off a little. I didn't have this problem when using the larger CompC3 sight. I had to squint or even close my left eye to get the proper sight picture.
I don't know if this was because the micro sight body is so small(?). The larger red dot sight body is larger and takes up more of the field of view of my left eye maybe negating this problem(?), but it was a little annoying.
Another thing I noticed was that the dot wasn't lined up with the irons, it was off to the right a little, probably because the gas tube rail was slightly off center from the iron sights, but no big deal as I could still use the irons through the bottom end of the red dot.
All-in-all, I think this is the best setup for AK rifles, it's small and definitely doesn't add all that much weight and size to the front of the rifle....so I think it's a keeper.
