Aimpoint vs inexpensive RDS

I can start to see why Aimpoints are as costly as they are. Between the Vickers/DD tests and the comments that I've read here, they're certainly built to absorb as much punishment as you can dish out. I'm just not sure that I need that much durability considering my use.
The Primary Arms Advanced RDS looks good but it's pretty big, although so is my Strikefire II. What about the PA Advanced Micro Dot? Anybody here running it and can comment on it?

I ordered one of the following: Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot with Push Buttons and up to 50K-Hour Battery Life, MD-ADS.
Using it on a Sub-2000 for a few months and so far, it's been great! Crisp dot & easy to operate +- controls on top of the unit. I like it :)

I might go that route. I haven't checked the weight against the non-micro version but it's gotta be substantially less. The DDM4v11 is pretty lightweight and I don't want to negate some of the weight savings by hanging a big heavy RDS on it.
