Airsofts, paintball guns & pellet guns are fun but that's all. They're not suitable or intended to be training devices for guns.
Several respected trainers disagree with this.

Here:Since we are on topic, does anybody know of any airsoft pellets that disintegrate? I am really annoyed seeing those little pellets lying all over my yard!
Actually, my gun, and a lot of my friends are VERY similar to Glock triggers, (among other stock handguns) but yes, if you are used to using a light, really crisp trigger, than airsoft guns are no good for that.Trigger pull isn't close to being the same on airsoft and real firearms so I can't see how you'd be able to get the benefit. I'm assuming the OP meant he was going to actually shoot the Airsoft and not just dryfire it.

Dry-Fire with the real gun you are practicing for.
indoorsoccerfrea said:all a snapcap does is catch and slow down the firing pin so it doesnt risk getting broken. it wont cause the gun to cycle. basically you load it and cock the hammer back manually and fire, repeat. its to work on your trigger pull and eliminating flinch
Shooting doesn’t make you good. Dry practice makes you good. Shooting is merely a validation of your dry practice.
I made a target that has a box back to catch the bbs.
rainbowbob said:Do the BBs have enough impact to make a neat little hole and go in the box?
A friend of mine has a sticky target for his cheap little spring gun, but it's kind of a pain to peel the BBs off - and they're unusable after that. Of course that's not an issue considering how cheap they are, but I wonder if you plan to "reload"?
Have you tried it yet?
That's pretty impressive service from Trinity.
The real expense isn't the bbs, it the green gas.
I could put them [BBs] in a colander and wash them off.
rainbowbob said:Can you give a rough estimate based on your initial trial of the cost of green gas (let's say per
hundred rounds)?
