after being away for a couple months, i log on to aimsurplus to order a case of golden tiger, and see that it's gone. i called them and no one could provide any info on furure availability or price. so,after scrounging around the interweb, the next best deal i found is at copes, around $185 delivered. but i would have had to drive into town to get an enlarged copy of my license, then fax it to copes. well, screw that, i just called aim again and ordered two 500 rd. cases of brown bear, ran me abour $198 delivered IIRC.
i just read a response from the aim guy at AR15.com. and he said he's gonna have to sell it " in the $179-189 range".(it was $159, a couple months ago $149)
aim seems to be the price-standard for AK ammo lately, so if they're going up, i'm guessing the rest may too.

If you buy at your local gun store, it is running at $5.49 to $5.75 per box of 20 for Wolf. The LGS owner pays for shipping, plus he has to make a profit. I like to buy that way, to help him stay in business.

All the more reason to get the Romanian stuff century is bringing in from Sadu

Its much better ammo than the Wolf/Uly/Tula stuff, and i personally like it better than Vympel (Golden Tiger)

I never take the toss-up chance between Uly and old stock Barnual with the "bear" ammo.

Next time you run into the whole 'copy of license' thing, ask if an email copy is ok. If it is, just email them a digital photo of your license. BSW
