Greetings,

I have an AK WASR-10 I bought 10 months ago from JGSales. It has been working perfectly except one small thing that is annoying me a little bit and I am wondering if there is a solution.

On the right side of the receiver, there is no dimple over the mag well. that means the magazine wiggle and when I shake the rifle, I hear the magazine hitting the receiver and it is noisy. Is there anything I can do or buy to stabilize more the magazine?

Thank you

The Romanian WASRs are supposed to have two pieces of sheet metal tack welded into the sides of the receiver where there would normally be a dimple on other manufacturers. If yours is missing these I suggest going to smith and having some welded in or you could make them and rivet them in yourself.

This is a common problem.

When Century converts these, they are in "quantity", not "quality" mode. They sometimes remove more of the stabilizer plates than is necessary.

If the rifle works w/o a hitch, you've got a winner.

I had a wasr and I found that bulgy circle 10 waffle mags solved most of my wobble problems.

I saw a web page that had details on taking a computer expansion slot cover, trimming it to size, and then using JB Weld to glue it in place. Might be worth a try.

Or call Century.

FWIW, 30 round mags wobble somewhat in my Norinco Mak 90's too , and they have dimples. It's never effected function. If the wobble in yours don't either, I wouldn't be concerned.
