i own two p220st's, and i noticed that it was a little big and heavy for ccw purposes. i was wondering if it was possible to replace the p220 slide with a 245 slide? i would still be able to keep the 8+1 capacity of a 220, have a steel frame, and have a shorter slide. and it would would probably be pretty unique. thanks for your time.

Not sure if that's possible, but looking at the picture of the 245 it might work. If the weight is an issue you might consider the standard P220. With the aluminum frame it weighs 27.8 ounces vs. 39.2 (unloaded). 11.4 ounces is a pretty big difference. The 245 weighs in at 27.5 ounces, only a couple ounces less than the standard P220.

And if it's not possible to put the 245 slide on the 220ST frame, don't forget that you can always use 8 round P220 mags in the 245. Not as elegant, since they'll stick out about a bit, but perfectly functional.
