Well, I've been shooting 125gr LRNs in my 9mm with hodgdon titegroup and clays and I like both powders, but I happened into some bullseye and unique and I want to try them out. The problem is that alliant doesn't list reloading data for lead bullets in 9mm on their website. I know people shoot these powders for in 9mm, so anybody want to share their recipes with me?

Alliant doesn't list any .40 S&W lead loads either. You can always email Alliant [[email protected]] and ask for loads [powder & bullets] specific to your needs. I have done so several times and have received a response in a couple of days. Alliant has much more data than is published and I have complained that there is a definite lack of lead bullet load data. Obviously, Alliant is more concerned about pushing data for Speer bullets which are jacketed.

The link provided by Steve is correct Alliant data, but will be very hot if worked up to max charges. For example:

4 grains of Bullseye gets me a measured avg velocity of 1092 fps from my Beretta M9.

5 grains of Unique gets 1180 fps avg velocity from the same pistol.

I am not saying they are dangerous max charge weights, just when you start out WJ, you might go lower than the recommended 10% start weight. FWIW, I have found 4.2-4.5 grains of Unique to be a really sweet shooting weight, and what I crank out most.

Also wanted to mention an extremely valuable internet tool I have used for years for finding discontinued load data, and a lot of other stuff:

http://www.archive.org/index.php

This site allows you to go back to a certain website as it existed many years back. It can run very slow at times, not connect/crash but it has always bee worth the wait. I think there is a mirror site that can be found with a google search. Here is the Alliant homepage from Nov 1998 where you can click on data

I have the lee powder measure data, but thanks for the info. I'll try that until I hear from Alliant. Thanks guys!
