Jesse is a better gun handler at least he was on the episode that he and the build team went to the gun range. I think it was the cop car doughnut stand episode.

I think an e-mail should be sent. I think their portrayal of gun handling was irresponsible. What's worse, the segment was edited in a manner that magnified their lack of safety. I think if you get a bunch of neophytes out on a bird hunt for the first time, it would be easy to get about five or six moments of unsafe gun handling and embarrasing comments. I don't mean to justify the behavior of the cast. Their behavior was definitely irresponsible, but Discovery should know better. Heck, the cast probably has a chance to preview anything that goes on the air before Discovery goes with the episode. On second thought, I think there's plenty of blame to go around for both Discovery and the cast members.

On a side note, all the merchandising that has been going on with this show is sickening. It's like when Metallica started going commercial. The show is becoming a joke. They're probably making so much money off the merchandising that they don't even need to build bikes anymore. They're losing all credibility with me.

I don't know if I am a "real" biker guy or not, but I ride about 15,000 miles a year in all sorts of weather. I think thier bikes are nice to look at, but I am not impressed with the way they build them. I think the OCC guys are probably pretty good guys in reality, they are putting on a show and if Sr yelling sells then Sr will keep yelling.

I was dissapointed in Southern Chopper...why can't they ever show someone from the South on tv who doesn't look or act like an extra from Deliverance?

Well, many do, but not having front teeth like the ZZ Top lookin' fella did certainly didn't portray the region positively. I'd almost guess that he had a bridge and the producers told him to keep it out for the "shock value."

I agree with techmike on the portrayal of Southerers and not just because he is a fellow Kentuckian. When the shop boss came out yelling, he cocked his shoulders back and strutted around like a banny rooster in such a rediculous manner, It was obviously staged for a benifit that I can imagine not. Why not use real actors? That is all that it was, acting.......real bad acting. Heck, the guy is probably a northerner trying to do a really bad accent.

The paint ball segment was bad, real bad. I would have beat the crap out of him.......with the gun.

I thought that too. The day my boss does that is the day I get fired for knocking the crap outta my boss...but then again...paintball in the computer room might be fun...take that Compaq...come get some Dell

What do real bikers think? Well, here are my credentials. I've ridden for over 25 years, I just bought a new Harley and I was a club member for over 5 years; upon departing the club and going into 'inactive status, the club voted me my 'colors,' which I still proudly possess.

I think there are many kinds of bikes real guys ride, but let's look at the decorative or theme bikes the OCC guys build and more concervative customs.

During my club years, I worked in one city, and then Friday night I jumped on the Interstate with my bike and beat feet to the club area. My front forks were always stock or a short custom for maximum control. I always had the bigger gas tanks for distance. However, I had lots of engine work, chrome and some fantastic paint work which is now called 'ghosting.'

However, several guys in that same club wanted to use their creative talents to build wild customs, even designing special frames to install car engines. While not a bike you'd like to ride for long periods, these guys were more interested in cutomizing; they might take shorter rides, or have a second bike for commuting.

Real bikers, all of them. I think a guy is still a 'biker' even if he sells his bike and transitions into another phase of his life. The experience colors his appraisal of life and his conduct, good or bad.
