Last night on Monster Garage, Jesse James and the build team went pistol shooting. Jesse had to show off his customized S&W .357 and then his chrome Desert Eagle. He didn't look like he could shoot very good, but you could tell he thought it was a lot of fun.
Last week on American Chopper, the Tuttle family took a break and went skeet shooting. They remarked on how they were not really into guns, but they really enjoyed it. The youngest brother was a natural and remarked on how he was excited that he had found something that he enjoyed and was good at.
I admit it, I'm a sucker for these gear head building shows.
I just bring these up because they are positive images of shooting as fun and normal activities. How often do we see that on TV? Shooting wasn't shown as weird or scary. Way to go Discovery channel.
