Just a reminder that we are approaching the deadline to get payment out for the ammo group buy.

It need to be in montana by the 31'st of march (thats monday) or you need to have let me know in advance that it's on the way and will be late.

YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO ORDER, BUT YOU SHOULD DO IT ASAP!!

So far I have been getting orders from the other boards, but have not gotten even a single order from The High Road.

THR by far outnumbers in active members all the other boards put together yet not one single person here who spoke up as interested has come forward. It's really a great opportunity to get some decent performance ammo for less than half what the big boys charge. the hornady style loads, the match grade loads and the Gold Dot loads are all priced at less than HALF what you'd pay anywhere else.

If you can ever envision TSHTF, then now is the time to pony up and get some.

I will say that I probably will not offer this here again If i get no orders from you guys. Let's rally up and make this thing work guys:)

I just saw this for the first time and checked your price list. For the ammo I'd be interested in I can get if from a local dealer for at least the same price you are asking and don't have to pay any shipping. Actually I can probably get if for less because as a member of range I get a sizeable discount on any ammo I buy, in any amount.

These might be fairly good prices for someone who does not live near a big city with several good gun shops, not to mention Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's but for those of us who do it isn't worth it.

:scrutiny:

Since you asked, I will only comment on the ammo in which I was interested in. Please don't take this personally, as I'm only saying this as information. Again, I appreciate the hard work you put into this effort, but I don't think HSM was willing to help you make this operation a success. Perhaps it's due to the fact that ammo is in such high demand with low supply that's keeping us from getting a true bargain via a group buy. I'm sure HSM would continue to sell every round they manufactured, even if this group buy didn't happen.

1. 6.8SPC 110gr VMAX / 6.8-2 / 9 weeks / $658 + $22 shipping - Genuine Hornady can be had for ~$50 more per case delivered TYD right now, without waiting 9 weeks.

2. 9MM 147 gr. JHP UHP Gold Dot / 9MM-9 / 30 days if bullets are in / $361 + $22 shipping - Genuine Winchester Ranger can be had for $20 more per case, right now, without waiting 9 weeks.

3. 7.62x51 150 gr FMJ Mil Spec / 308-1R-N / 9 weeks / $519 + $22 shipping - I just paid $600 for 1000 rounds of genuine Lake City (Federal) 7.62x51 150gr NATO. There is a tiny bit more where I bought it from.

I only really wanted plinking ammo (9mm), and the prices weren't good enough to justify spending a big chunk all at once, and then waiting for it.

I agree with asknight and chupacabrah. While I see what you are saying about some rounds (I understand that the 5.56 75 grain is under .50/ round, while Hornady 75 grain goes for closer to $1/round), I just don't need to buy premium ammunition by the case. I was hoping for better pricing on plinking stuff, and other ammo can be had for about the same price, without the wait, and without the bulk.

That said, if anyone in the Austin area wanted to split a case of the 5.56 75 grain, I'd be interested, but it's probably a little late to start working on that.

You asked...

5.56x45 75gr HPBT Tactical load / 556-17T / 9 weeks / $473
Prvi 75gr Match is currently available for $395/k

5.56x45 55gr FMJ Mil Spec New brass / 223-1R-N / 9 weeks / $348
Prvi 55gr M193 is currently available for $320/k

While the Prvi stuff is not Mk262 or Q3131, it is known to be good quality ammo with good components, good brass, and is available TODAY. It is available from dealers with good, extensive reputations.

You speak of "performance": where are the fps, ES, and SD numbers for this ammo. A .223 55gr cartridge is not "mil-spec" because you say it is. Now, your ammo might really have the proper brass, bullet, and velocity, but I don't know that.

1) Mediocre price
2) No established reputation
3) Long wait times

It's not that the prices were too high, but for fmj plinking ammo (which is all I wanted) it's not a super deal to justify buying a whole case and paying shipping and waitingfor the rounds to be manufactured.

gentlemen,

This has been an entirely enlightening experience about this community. It is unfortunate that the gunowners in this country are as technically ignorant and yet ready to attack a brother as they are here on these forums. I have done many hours of work and research to bring this to you. I have asked repeatedly for your support and been told that I had it and what you wanted. I have done my best to provide it for you.
I'm not sure what world or society YOU live in, but I live in a country that is imploding at a very fast rate. The "gunowners" are woefully ignorant of how to operate thier weapons and equally irresponsible with thier freedoms and rights.
I am ashamed to be numbered among you, And regret ever joining this board or offering this opportunity to you. I have received hateful emails and negative responses for my efforts.

It is unfortunately true that 99% of gun owners in general are untrained, incapable, blowhard, fudd's like Jim Zumbo. It appears that most of them reside on this site.

I hereby rescind this offering for an ammo group buy to The High Road forum members. This offer is closed here.

Thank you for reminding me who this countries REAL enemies are.

I am the first to admit I am new here, but the orignal two or three threads for this were old when I got here. I was interested at first but after a few months before ever getting prices, then it seemed to string out past that. When i can buy 100 WWB .45's every week and still be cheaper and quicker it lost it's appeal for plinking ammo and the premium or performance ammo I buy in small quantities to practice and carry with hopefully never to use it, so 1,000 rounds at a time is a bit excessive for not outstanding prices.

i can get 1000 rds of 115gr WWW 9mm for 18.42 per 100 a box all day long at walmart... your price of $174 + shipping + a 30+ day wait doesnt add up to a good deal....

if you got me a case of 9mm at $120, we could talk

I watched your group buy for a number of months and like others got tired of waiting for prices. By the time prices were available they were higher than I could've bought "name brand" ammo for when the buy started. I realize that prices have been climbing like crazy on all ammo, but if I'm going to buy 1k of any caliber it's for "practice" ammo, and actually "participating" would've cost me over buying it when I needed it. (which is what I did) After seeing your reply above I'm glad I didn't place an order . . . .

Good luck!

You SHOULD be ashamed & full of regret but for different reasons than you whine about. If you wish to conduct yourself like a petulant child, your only recourse is to take your ball & go home. Anything else would show maturity...
