this is some info gathered together for the curious amd those who are just looking for something to use in their carry gun.

Sectional density of common carry ammo, (a measure of mass) the higher a projectiles density the truer it stays on course.

Now for my personal opinion/ preference I lean to the middle weight bullets driven at a fairly high velocity YOMV also IMOP I feel the most comfortable when my carry ammo is close to or exceeding 500 ft-lbs of kinetic energy, I feel that this is where the magic starts to happen and stopping an oncoming threat become more reliable
