Hi guys. I'm a road warrior for a communications company, and spend 2 or 3 weeks a month on the road. I've never taken any guns on a trip until this week. I brought two pistols with me to the Dallas area because I want to take a co-worker and his son to the range on Sunday. I brought enough ammo for that, but today another friend asked me if I'd take him tomorrow night. He hasn't been shooting since he was in the USAF in the 80's. I'd like to take him, but alas, I only brought enough ammo for Sunday, and not a great amount for that.

I've been watching the Walmart near my hotel, (Richardson - Plano area) but with no luck. Does anyone know where I can get some WWB 100 packs tomorrow afternoon? I need 9mm and .45ACP. Prolly 200 rounds of each would do it. Anyone?

I don't know what their ammo supply is at the moment, but here are some nearby gun shops you can check:

The Academy Sports at 75/Central and Spring Creek had a fair stock of handgun ammo, last I was in there. It's just south of the WallyWorld there, on the other side of the Lowes.

Ok, Thanks, PI Rob. I'll check them out.

And Rbernie is showing me how dumb I am. I went to that walmart after dinner tonight, but didn't see Academy. I checked their website, and they're open til 10, so off I go. Wish me luck!

What he said. I was just at Walmart. 357SIG and 40 cal, that is it for pistol.
Academy always has it. That 23 dollar box of 357SIG at wally world is 28 at Academy. Still cheaper than gunshow or most gunshops.

That's a great deal. The brass case here was 11.99, and since I'm on the road, won't be saving it and carrying it home anyhow. Still, the brass would have been better.

Are you going shooting at Garland Public Shooting Range or at The Bullet Trap? The Bullet Trap has a goodly supply of range ammo (at higher-than-retail); GPSR less so but they normally have something...
