My grandfather just sold his 41 mag revolver. He had plenty of ammo and didn't know what to do with it so he gave it to me. About 550+ reloads and about 100 federal/Winchester rounds. With a speed reloader. The reloads are in ammo cases. My questions is what would something like this would be worth? I don't have any use for them. Any thoughts would be great

Time to buy a .41 mag. Great shooting round and you have the ammo.

Should have bought Grandads gun.

The brass is worth a nice price. Trouble is most guys won't shoot a strangers's loads. Pulling that many would be a pain, but would yield a good piece of brass and useable bullet.....I would give about what half new brass costs.

What ColtPythonElite said: kind of a dicey proposition trying to sell handloads that you really can't verify the quality of to someone else. The components by themselves are worth something but that's a lot of bullets to be pulling. I'm kind of surprised that your Grandfather didn't make some sort of deal on them with whoever bought his revolver. Other than that maybe you might want to look into getting a .41 Mag as it's a great cartridge and with 650+ rounds you've certainly got the ammo to go with it.

I was hoping he would sell it to me but he didn't. You guys have a good point I can understand some one not wanting to mess with it all. Thanks for the advice
