Are there any federal laws that regulate the amount of loaded ammunition a private individual may have stored at a single location?

I have heard of black powder storage limits, but not loaded smokeless cartridges?
Anything like this exist?
Anyone know if any states have limits?

Black powder is an explosive. In "large" amounts it adds serious danger to firefighters.

Smokeless power is a combustible. Just one more in a structure full of stuff that burns. Unless the cartridge is chambered in a barrel, if ignited the bullet comes out at slow velocity and won't penetrate turnout gear.

Thus the different treatment in STATE fire codes.
