Although some repeat what they've read on the internet as gospel my two AMT Backups work just fine. The .380 is a SA. The .45 Backup was a bit tight when new and the trigger was no great shakes. But, after putting enough rounds through it too properly break it in no issues. I carry it regularly.
I imagine you could still find some out there with only a mag or two through them.
