Thing is, the Army is starved for people. Look at the relaxed requirements for enlistment.

They're waiving pretty much everything in order to get the warm bodies needed to fill slots. So, if an illegal has had a twinge in conscience, and wants to serve in order to become a citizen, why not?

He's probably better than the lower tier recruits enlisting now.

There's a lot more to the illegal immigation issue than just the cancer of the welfare state. You want a tribalistic America? Just hang on, it's coming.

The answer to a nation of people who can't be bothered defending their country isn't to dangle citizenship in front of illegal aliens. We will get nowhere avoiding some of the ugly truths about the culture we've evolved over the last forty years.
